Workova Terms of Use

These Terms explain the rules that apply when you use Workova, including the public website, marketplace features and related services.

Effective: 16 September 2026 Workova Africa Ltd.
In Plain Language

Use Workova honestly, safely and lawfully.

Workova helps people discover and connect around jobs, services and products. Users remain responsible for the information they provide and the decisions they make.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using Workova, you agree to these Terms and any policies incorporated by reference, including the Privacy Notice, Community Guidelines and Prohibited Services & Products rules.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use Workova.

2. Accounts, profiles and verification

You are responsible for providing accurate account and profile information and for keeping your login credentials secure.

Some marketplace activities may require verification. Verification can include checks of profile, identity, business or other relevant information. A verification indicator is a trust signal, not a guarantee that a person or transaction is risk-free.

You must not create accounts for deceptive purposes, impersonate another person or business, or misuse another user’s account.

3. Workova’s marketplace role

Workova provides technology that helps users discover and connect around jobs, services, products and other marketplace opportunities.

Unless Workova expressly states otherwise, Workova is not the employer, worker, service provider, seller or buyer in a user-to-user engagement.

Users are responsible for deciding whether another user, opportunity, service or product is suitable for them.

4. Jobs, services and product listings

Listings and opportunities must be accurate, lawful and consistent with Workova policies. Important details such as scope, location, timing, price or commercial expectations should be communicated clearly.

Workova may remove or restrict content that is misleading, unlawful, unsafe or inconsistent with marketplace rules.

5. Payments, withdrawals and applicable fees

Where Workova provides wallet, funding, package or withdrawal features, applicable charges should be displayed before confirmation.

For user-to-user jobs and services, Workova may record engagement and payment-confirmation activity without necessarily holding the commercial payment itself. Users remain responsible for understanding and agreeing the relevant payment terms.

Third-party payment providers may process some payment transactions. Their own terms and privacy practices may also apply.

6. Free access and optional packages

Workers, employers, service providers and sellers can use Workova without first purchasing a paid plan.

Workova may offer optional packages that provide additional limits, visibility, features or eligible benefits. Package prices, limits and benefits can change, and the current information displayed in the Workova app at the time of purchase or upgrade is the applicable information.

7. Reviews, ratings and marketplace reputation

Reviews and ratings should reflect genuine marketplace experience. You must not buy, sell, threaten over, fabricate or manipulate reviews.

Workova may moderate, restrict or remove reviews that violate marketplace rules or appear fraudulent or abusive.

8. Referral programme

Referral rewards are subject to current eligibility rules, account standing, programme conditions and any applicable package requirements.

Fake accounts, self-referral manipulation, duplicate-account abuse or other fraudulent referral activity can result in reward cancellation, loss of eligibility or account action.

The current programme information shown in Workova should be treated as the source of truth for active reward conditions.

9. Prohibited activity

You must not use Workova to:

  • offer, request or promote unlawful goods, services or activities;
  • commit fraud, impersonation, deception or identity misuse;
  • harass, threaten, exploit or abuse another person;
  • manipulate marketplace records, reviews, referrals or engagement activity;
  • distribute malware, interfere with Workova systems or attempt unauthorised access;
  • publish content prohibited by Workova’s marketplace restrictions.

See the Prohibited Services & Products page for additional guidance.

10. User disputes

Users should preserve relevant marketplace records and use Workova’s support or dispute channels when problems arise.

Workova may review relevant platform records and enforce marketplace rules, but not every private disagreement can be determined or resolved by Workova.

Serious legal, criminal or safety matters may require the appropriate authorities or professional advice.

11. User content

You retain responsibility for content you upload, including profile information, images, portfolio material, listings, messages and reviews.

By submitting content to Workova, you give Workova the permission reasonably necessary to host, process, display and use that content to operate, protect and improve the service, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

You must have the right to upload any content you provide.

12. Suspension, restriction and account action

Workova may restrict content, marketplace features, withdrawals, account activity or access where reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, protect users, comply with law, prevent fraud or enforce Workova policies.

13. Service availability

Workova may change, improve, suspend or discontinue features as the product evolves. We do not promise that every feature will always be available without interruption.

14. User responsibility and limitation of responsibility

Workova provides marketplace technology and trust tools, but users remain responsible for their own decisions, communications, agreements and appropriate safety precautions.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Workova is not responsible for losses caused solely by another user’s independent acts, misrepresentations or failure to perform, except where Workova has a legal responsibility that cannot be excluded.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Workova grows, laws change or new features are introduced. The updated effective date will be shown on this page.
